GP-5000

The press features a fully enclosed design that incorporates a vacuum and inert gas purging system for controlled environment processing. Programmable feedback controls provide high precision position, force, heating and cooling profiles throughout the molding process.

The Glass Press (GP) by Dyna Technologies Inc. (DTI) is a fully enclosed, compact press designed for compression molding of precision optical elements. It is a cost effective means for rapid product development and low production volumes. The GP-10000-HT (High Temperature) is based on proven molding technology.

The press features a fully enclosed design that incorporates a vacuum and inert gas purging system for controlled environment processing. Programmable feedback controls provide high precision position, force, heating and cooling profiles throughout the molding process.

GP-10000 HT controlled heating and cooling ramps

Heating to 800°C

A heater controller is used to control two phase angle relays. Each relay varies the power to the top or bottom infrared heater. The controller uses PID control to maintain the temperature of the molds and glass up to 800°C and within 1ºC.
